Youth Bridges
Following the successes
of the Time Out youth magazine, IPK/Time Out volunteers involved
in EWI GPKT WG meetings and Kumanovo conference with the suggestion
from IPK/ Time Out was decided to produce 3 bi-monthly issues,
with slightly broader scope, but very similar format to normal
editions of Time Out, to allow EWI to give full financial and
other support to the initiative as it would then represent the
'GPKT Newsletter'.
The first coordinative meeting was held in January and in February
we have training for the journalist from GPKT region so by end
of March we have the first publication which was the first newsletter
in GPKT region that was in three different languages and it
was very well accepted. The second issue was published by end
of May and the third beginning of September.
With this project we achieve to promote multi-ethnic / cross-border
co-operation through the dissemination of the newsletter, including
its coverage of cross-border activities in the GPKT micro-region
(particularly in the fields of gender, education and economic
development) and of a cultural / sporting activities calendar
for the micro-region, build the skills of the young journalists
involved through skills exchange from the GPKT Media Working
Group, and also through provision of specialised training, promote
multi-ethnic / cross-border co-operation through the dissemination
of the newsletter, including its coverage of cross-border activities
in the GPKT micro-region (particularly in the fields of gender,
education and economic development) and of a cultural / sporting
activities calendar for the micro-region. The project is going
on, and it is continuing with 5 issues to February 2007
